Feb. 22 Bob goes to the Forest Hawkins sale.
Feb. 23 Go to Rockford for washing machine. To Oregon for Helen. Chas. Dyer hauls 2 loads (Hank) 22 and 23
Feb. 25 Harry hauls Nellie, Tony,  bob-sled and 18 hogs for us. Down home. Then takes hogs to Chicago at night.
Feb. 26 Dehorn cattle
Feb. 28 Hank and Bob take 2 cows and bull to Hank in A.M. Take load over to Case farm (Ritchie Harris.) Father brings Mother up. Takes Jerry home with him.
Jan. 18 Mother and Rinkers up for dinner.
Mar. 1 Move. Mrs. Bourbeau helps get dinner. Jerry down home. Mother helps. Father, Gene, Bud come after her at night.
Mar. 2 Bob moves chickens. Grinds feed. Ralph and I bring kiddies home. Rains.
Mar. 3 Rains some.
Mar. 4 Go down home. Bring Bud and Helen in.
Mar. 6 Haul 2 loads machinery. Folks bring Gene up. Take Jim down there.
Mar. 7 Bob goes to meeting (corn and hogs)
Mar. 8 Mr. Case and Bob go to look at bull. Buy one. We go to Suttons at night.
Mar. 9 Bob helps saw wood at Seabolts in P.M.
Mar. 10 Hank here at noon. Washing machine comes in P.M. Bob goes to McCormicks to buy hay. Over to Hanks. Sells heifer to him. Mr. Yount takes black heifer to keep for us. Hank is to take her over on March 11.
Mar. 12 Bob goes to McCormicks for hay in the A.M. Harry and the men here in the P.M. Bob, Jerry and I go to Dyers in P.M. First time we use the new washing machine.
Mar. 13 Bob goes to town late in P.M.
Mar. 14/15 Cut wood in P.M. First time at Case farm.
Mar. 16 Father brings Helen up. Takes Jerry and Ruby home with him.
Mar. 17 Bob goes to J. Nygren’s sale. Rainy in A.M. Snows hard. Turns cold. Real cold.
Mar. 18 Go to Hal and Peg’s for dinner.

Apr. 4 John and Bob hitch colt. Go to Byron, Wolfes and Motters to see about rabbits in P.M.
Apr. 5 Folks up. Bob trades horses. Bill and Dolly. Father and Bob go to Byron.
Apr. 6 Henry and Maggie over in P.M. Hank borrows hors. Maggie drives home. Bob sows oats in hog pasture.
Apr. 7 Bob starts to sow oats in field. John goes to town in P.M. Bob takes him to dance at night. Mildred goes to school. Girls too. Jerry, Harry, Myrtle and I go home. Lillian Schier up with girls. Hank and Scoop over at night.

Jun. 1 School Picnic and Program. Last day of school. Dreadfully hot. Horse man stays all night. Few drops of rain.
Jun. 2 A little cooler. Bob takes corn plow to town in P.M. Gets new one.
Jun. 3 Down home. Helen and A. Ruby took 2 sheets 1 pair pillow cases. Few drops of rain. Ruby and Myrtle stay down. Father no car.
Jun. 4 Millie goes to practice at Taylors. Gene to town. Very hot. Few drops of rain.
Jun. 5 Wash, iron, clean house.
Jun. 6 Cooler. First street dance at Byron. We go. Cold at night.
Jun. 7 Quite cool and cloudy.
Jun. 8 Frieda and Walter here P.M. Grandpa, John and girls. Bob to town twice. Mildred goes with Erxlebens to play at Woman’s Club. A real rain at night. Quite a wind storm too. Bob gets 50 more chickens.
Jun. 9 Grind feed in A.M. Slagle Case here. Clean chicken pens. Get Pansy in P.M. Town at night Another rain – fairly good one.
Jun. 10 Down home. Get chicken coup from Mrs. Nally.
Jun. 11 Plow corn.
Jun. 12 Bob to town A.M. Helen, Mildred, Jerry, Bob down home. Make hay  P.M.
Jun. 13 Go to Aurora. Mother, Ruby, Jerry, Bob and I. Helen goes to Hesses. We stay all night. Come home June 14.
Jun. 14 Stop at Raleighs Dinner. Oregon Ruby.
Jun. 15 Go to Hanks, Younts, Bourbeaus and Byron. Father and Harry here P.M. Mrs. Hess brings Helen home. Dupledopper here at night.

Dec. 4 Still cold. Wash. Gene helps Ray to fix windmill in P.M.
Dec. 5 Butcher bull. We get half. Snows, hard again. Myrtle’s Birthday.
Dec. 6 Real cold. Bob and Gene walk to Les Cains
Dec. 7 Gene takes kiddies to school in bob-sled. Colder. Get cow and calf from Younts in P.M. Bob to town and Billies – Freds A.M.
Dec. 8 Myrtle sick.
Dec. 9 Down home. Snows.
Dec. 10 Bob takes kiddies to school. Gies to Freddies.
Dec 11 Ruby home with Miss Blanchard. Cold. Cold. Colder at night. Put corn fodder around chicken house.
Dec. 12 Bob goes to work (drouth) Dec. 13 and 14 too. Mrs. Hess brings Helen home. They go to Rockford. Bob to Oregon for girls. No girls.
Dec. 15 Bob works A.M. Goes to play at night (Byron)
Dec. 16 Sun. Down home.
Dec. 17 Bob works again. Myrtle stays all night with Miss Blanchard. Ruby gets mandolin.
Dec. 18 Bob goes to sale. Gets stuck in ditch. Gene and Harry go with him after car. Snows alll night. Still snowing the next day.
Dec. 19 Go down home. Take Mother to Dixon.
Dec. 20 Bob works again. Snows hard again.
Dec. 21 Bob works. Go to Grange Christmas party. Helen and Mildred too. Millie comes home with us.
Dec. 22 Bob works. Gets stuck coming home in snowbank. Leaves car all night. Can’t get it home. Gets it Sunday A.M.
Dec. 23 Catherine Poffenberger buried. Roads terribly slippery. Don’t go to Grandma’s. First Sun. for a long time.
Dec. 24 G to school program. Bob to town A.M. Battery, generator on bum.
Dec 25 Down home. Mrs. Cleary for dinner.
Dec. 26 Very, very, cold. Coldest night and day we’ve had. Bob to town P.M.
Dec. 27 Bob finishes his work on relief. Quite a lot warmer this P.M. Wash.
Dec. 28 Take Helen to Dixon to exchange skirt. Stop down home. Folks butcher. Bob to  M. Nally’s at night.
Dec. 29 Sell chickens. To Oregon at night. See Bub. He’s better. Kiddies to show.
Dec. 30 Down home. Gene stays down. Helen too. Everett comes with us. Ruby and Harry home with us.
Dec. 31 Butcher pig. Bob to town P.M. Dance with Nallys New Year’s Eve.
